Glaze / Privacy
Privacy Policy
This policy describes the information Glaze uses to provide its pottery-maker community and the choices available in the app.
App version 1.0.0 · Effective January 1, 2026
Information used by Glaze
When you create and use an account, Glaze handles the email address and sign-in information used for access. Your profile may include a display name, biography, optional location, and profile image.
When you use community features, Glaze handles the content and activity needed for them: ceramic work details and media, process notes, drafts, comments, follows, saved work, collections, messages, reports, and feedback you submit.
If you buy Clay in a version that offers purchases, the app stores transaction identifiers and purchase records used to apply the balance. Apple processes the iOS purchase through its StoreKit flow.
Photos, camera, and microphone
Photos can be added to works and profiles. Photos and videos can be shared in chats. Camera access supports capturing images or video, and microphone access supports recording audio. These permissions are requested by the app when a related feature needs them. You can manage device permissions in your phone's settings.
Media you choose to upload is sent to Glaze's app services so it can appear in the features where you use it.
How information is used
Glaze uses account and activity information to sign you in, show profiles and work, save your studio records, deliver messages, support purchases and gifts, respond to feedback, and provide reporting and blocking features.
What others can see
Profiles and ceramic work shared publicly can be seen by people using Glaze. Comments are visible with the work they belong to. Messages are available to the people in that conversation. Private account records, including reports and purchase history, are not presented as public profile content.
Your choices and account deletion
You can edit profile details, manage device permissions, remove work, and use account controls in Glaze. The account-deletion action currently marks an account as deleted and blocks later sign-in. It does not itself erase every associated record, and the app does not specify a retention period for records that remain.
